Industrial Cooing Equipment Ltd are seeking an excellent Sales & Contracts Engineer with proven track record and experience within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry. Working out of our office in Runcorn, the ideal candidate would be responsible for generating new sales for contract/project work, as well service and maintenance contracts.

 

Position Overview
  • Increasing sales and expanding our customer base.
  • Be the main point of contact for customers on new and existing projects.
  • Carrying out site surveys and putting together proposals and tenders.
  • Production and implementation of Method Statements and Risk Assessments for projects.
  • Project management of the installation and commissioning of a wide range of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring all resources, including materials, equipment, labour and sub-contractors are planned, ordered and allocated to contracts as appropriate and managed throughout the project.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing of parts and equipment and ensure parts are ordered and delivered on time.
  • Carrying out regular site visits to ensure regular customer contact and high standards of work.
  • Monitoring of job costing for contracts, including materials and engineer hours booked.
  • Supervise and oversee the work of installation teams and any appointed subcontractors, being their main point of contact and technical support.
  • Oversee commissioning of all projects and follow up paperwork.

 

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience of installing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate and familiar with using Microsoft Office suite
  • The ability to build good professional relationships with customers, colleagues and sub-contractors alike.
  • Good people management skills.
  • A deep understanding of and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • A background in construction project management or mechanical engineering would be a distinct advantage.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Basic hours are 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 2.30pm on a Friday and as required to suit the business needs.
